Grand Old Day Will Return in 2023!
Grand Old Day will continue to be on pause this summer as we focus our time and energy on planning Grand Old Day 2023. Covid has brought many uncertainties for all of us and requires a new way of thinking about large scale, all age events such as Grand Old Day. While we did consider bringing the event back in 2022, we ultimately decided that our community will be better served with a well planned event in 2023. We have already started the process of gathering the community partners and resources needed to create a vibrant, exciting and fun Grand Old Day 2023.
We can’t wait to welcome you back to Grand Old Day. In the meantime, please continue to support our Grand Avenue businesses by enjoying the great food, drinks, shopping, events and all the great experiences our Grand Avenue Businesses offer year round.

Hello Fellow Grand Avenue Businesses,
As the current Board of Directors, we would like to thank all of you support as we continue to bring the “grand” back to the Grand Avenue Business Association.
In 2021 we did some great things!
- We relaunched the Grand Avenue Business Association website
- Hosted 2 quarterly networking events that were well attended
- Organized a successful Paws on Grand Event
- Promoted a scaled down version of Grand Meander on December 4th
Our goals for 2022 include:
- Enhancing our website
- Creating an even more active social media presence highlighting our members
- Expanding Paws on Grand and Grand Meander to drive traffic to local businesses
- Hosting 4 quarterly networking events and 2 educational events
- Renewing our partnerships with other membership groups to build awareness of our neighborhood businesses and add opportunities to learn and network
- Assist GABA Members in recruiting talent to work at their Grand Avenue businesses through education, collective marketing and a potential job fair event.
In the next 2 weeks, we will also be emailing a survey to Grand Avenue Businesses to gauge interest in and commitment to organizing Grand Old Day 2022. This has been a long tradition on Grand Avenue that has been on pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic. If Grand Old Day 2022 is to happen we need to know that Grand Avenue Businesses want this to happen and are willing to commit time and energy to make it happen.
We ask that you consider joining GABA in 2022 and help us do more to promote the Avenue. See the membership options on the attached membership form. Your membership will allow us to have a small operational fund and will ensure that you are on our membership roster, can participate in upcoming events, and are connected to each other through our Facebook group and emails.
Please return the form in one of two ways:
By Mail – Send your form and check to: Grand Ave Business Association, 1041 Grand Avenue #535, St. Paul, MN 55105
By Email – Send the form to: [email protected] Once we receive it, we will email a link for you to make your dues payment online
At this moment, GABA is completely a volunteer group. We do not have an Executive Director or any other employees. If you are interested in helping build a vibrant Grand Avenue Business Association, please get involved by joining one of our committees or serving as a board member. You can indicate your areas of interest on the form or email [email protected] for more information.
We are honored to serve this organization,

Hello Fellow Grand Avenue Businesses,
As the current Board of Directors we would like to thank all of you for your support as we rebuild the Grand Avenue Business Association.
As mentioned in a letter sent in April, this last year had been tough but we are confident there are great opportunities to support one another and for growth as we look forward.
Our goals for the remainder of 2021 include the relaunch of our website and an active social media presence highlighting the businesses in the association. We are also planning two re-imagined events, Paws on Grand and Grand Meander, intended to drive traffic to local businesses. We are also renewing partnerships with other membership groups to build awareness of our neighborhood businesses and adding opportunities to learn and network.
Additionally – we are looking ahead to Grand Old Day 2022. We are currently seeking volunteers to determine the scope and budget of this project. Please contact us to get involved.
We ask that you please consider joining GABA for the remainder of 2021 with reduced membership dues of $150 for the year. This will allow us to have a small operational fund and will make sure that you are on our membership roster, can participate in upcoming events, and are connected to each other through our Facebook group and emails.
As a volunteer group, our scope is limited, as we do not have an Executive Director or any other employees. If you are interested in helping, please join a committee or serve as a board member.
We’ve attached a membership form that we ask everyone to send back via email or with your check so that we have your up-to date contact information. There are two ways to confirm your GABA membership this year.
