Right Track is Mayor Carter and the City of Saint Paul’s youth jobs initiative for building a diverse future workforce, while supporting young people and their families now. Right Track addresses changing labor force demographics and education and employment disparities by connecting young people from low-income homes to summer jobs and internships, training them for professional success, and helping employers prepare for, recruit and mentor the next generation of diverse talent.
In 2019, Right Track trained and hired 935 Saint Paul youth as interns, giving them valuable work experiences and professional development training. 93% of interns successfully completed their summer positions and collectively they grossed over $1,657,918 in earned wages. Talk about a boost to Saint Paul’s workforce and economy!
