Update from Scott Fares, Acting President of GABA
The most recent meeting board meeting minutes have been posted to the GABA website.
Some items of note: Bob Lawrence has stepped down from the Board after a year of service. Vice President Scott Fares has been appointed Acting President and other officer roles have changed. Peter Kenefick is now Acting Vice President and the Secretary position will be shared by Bev Brending and Dawn Huffman.
We are seeking new board member nominations at this time to fill open positions. Check-in with any current board member to learn more.
Did you sustain damage to your property recently? We have been contacted by Columbia Building Services in Minneapolis offering surface restoration for insured and non-insured businesses in the area.
Guest Blog Posts
We are opening up grandave.com to our member businesses to write articles that will be informative to the Twin Cities community, and highlight the expertise of our members. A great example is this post we recently put up that was written by Steve Johnson of Bank Cherokee.
At this time we are asking for articles that are timely to summer or how to get through this pandemic. In the fall we will be posting more general articles. A great example of the Fall series is a post such as the one Andy Fein of Fein Violins wrote (we are happy to take blog articles you’ve already written!) which we already have scheduled in October to be released on this website.
This is a particularly great opportunity for our service based members to really show off their knowledge.
If you would like to participate, please shoot an email to email@example.com.
Group Buy for Villager Ad
We are buying monthly ad space in the Villager, where we will be putting out an ad showing the hours, and methods of doing business with your customers for $100 per ad. Normally, to purchase an ad in the Villager of comparable size, it costs $1500. By coming together we’re able to get a large presence for a fraction of the cost. If you would like to be part of these ads, please fill out the form below:
July 9 & 10 Blood Drive
If you would like to promote your business through our social media and include a coupon or small item for the goodie bag for the July 9 & 10 blood drive, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. For goodies, be prepared to have 104 of whatever you want included.

We are still moving forward with Paws on Grand, however we are moving the date forward to September 12. If you are interested in participating our helping with the organization of the event, please contact Events Committee Chair, Brian Wagner at email@example.com to learn more.
